How to Make Easy "Frozen" Themed Chocolate Covered Pretzel Rods {or Frozen Icicles }

For Zoey's 3rd birthday party we did a Frozen theme. This year I decided to make it easy on myself and just purchase all the Frozen decor and order some party platters from our local Publix. I did decide to make some easy chocolate covered pretzels as a treat and called them Frozen Icicles to go with the theme. Here are the easy steps to follow to make your own Chocolate covered Pretzels. You can use any color sprinkles to make them match your own party I just used blue to match the frozen theme.

You will need only 3 ingredients:

Pretzel rods
white chocolate chips
blue sprinkles

Step 1: Melt the white chocolate chips in a glass cup. I followed the directions on the bag for melting the white chocolate in the microwave. It's basically 30 second intervals with stirring in between each interval and I probably only had to do it twice. Do not overheat your chocolate or it will just seize up and not melt. If you do overheat it just let it cool down and try to stir it so it will become a softer consistency. Stirring is key!

Step 2: Place a pretzel rod into the glass cup and use a spoon to help cover it with the white chocolate. You can use the spoon to drizzle it up higher than it dips into the glass as well. Make sure it is nice and coated with a thick layer of the chocolate.

Step 3: Lay your pretzel rods out on a baking pan covered with wax or parchment paper to dry.

Step 4: Before the chocolate gets hard cover with sprinkles of your choosing. You can put them into the fridge to help dry the chocolate but they do not need to be in there long. Mine dried without putting them into the fridge. I stored them in a big Zip lock bag until the next day for the party and they came out perfect!

There you have it! Super easy chocolate covered pretzels or frozen icicles! These were a huge hit at the party! Enjoy!
