Zoey's 6 Month Check Up

Zoey had her 6 month shots on Monday. It is so hard for me to see her in pain. The decision to have her vaccinated was not an easy one for me. I went back and forth for a long time and did a lot of research. I wrote up a whole blog about it, but decided not to post it. I just want to say that we decided it was the best decision for our family, and I now accept that. I want to protect my baby the best way I can, and this was something I felt was going to protect her.

I do want to say the biggest influence in my decision was I asked every single mom I knew, and they all vaccinated their children. The adverse reactions are very rare and the benefits outweigh the risks, for us.

That is all I want to say on the topic, but please feel free to share your decisions and why.

She had a little fever that night and next day so Tylenol helped. I let her sleep with me all night last night, even though she has been sleeping in her bassinet for weeks. Hopefully we can do the transition to crib soon. I feel like it will be harder for me to have her so far than it will be for her.

Zoey weighs 17.02 Pounds (50th percentile) and she is 25.5 inches long (30th percentile). Growing big and strong! Mommy's milk is making baby very healthy and she now also eats sweet potatos, green beans, squash, zuccini, and we tried banana but she did not like it just yet. I am trying to teach her how to drink from a nuk cup with bite spout but so far she just chews on it. =)

Zoey Elizabeth's Newborn Pictures

These are some of my favorites from my precious baby girl's newborn pictures. I will treasure these forever. She was so tiny, only 6 lbs. 1 oz.  I wish I could go back to when she was a tiny, sleepy, squishy baby. I do miss these moments, but now she is a happy girl always talking, playing and full of personality! This little girl has changed my whole life and I love her more than anything.

I am such a mom

This morning baby Zoey and I went for a morning walk with some neighbor Mommy's and their babies. It was really nice and she loves to be out of the house. I laughed as I thought, "this is the highlight of my day." My sister said, " you're such a mom" this made me smile. Yes I am! I love being a mom. I go to bed early and wake up early. I have a schedule around baby and am with her all day long. I love our days together. I am very grateful that I can be home with her and be able to teach her new things and watch her grow.

She is so alert and eager to learn new things. she loves playing with the ring stacker and soft blocks already.

She talks (yells) all day long and I keep looking for teeth but don't see any yet.

We had her 6 month photo shoot Monday and I cannot wait to get them back.

I am such a mom, and loving it.

Zoey is 6 months old!

ZoBear is 6 months old today. I cannot believe it! I feel like my life is going by so fast now that I have a baby I want to keep small forever. This little girl has changed so much and is getting so big.

This 6 month old babe loves sweet potatoes, splashing in the bath, sitting up on her own, and is finally napping in her crib! She sleeps almost all night and talks all day. She is very opinionated and it's hilarious.

Watching her learn new things and grow is so fun and I love helping her discover the world.

Slow down my love, you're growing too fast.

Molly's Suds Review

This is my review of the products I tried from Molly's Suds. I was asked how I liked this brand of all natural, chemical free laundry cleaners so here it is!

Laundry Powder- I actually prefer liquid laundry detergent so this is not something I would commonly use. It is free of parabens and harsh chemicals. It says no phosphates, no sulfates, and no petrochemicals. You only need a tiny scoop of this stuff and it is placed directly in with the clothes. I have a front loading washer so I usually put the liquid in the dispenser area so this is different, but not necessarily bad. It has a really nice scent of peppermint which I really like, but the smell does not linger on the clothing when they are done drying. I also like that you only need a small amount so it lasts a long time. I like that this is formulated for sensitive skin which I have. I did use it on my clothes, baby clothes, and hubbys clothes. I liked it for mine and babies but found it really did not rid my hubbys work clothes of the smell. (He works on engines and around gas and oil)

All Sport- this is a liquid type cleaner but seems to be more for work out clothing. This also takes a small cap full so it will last a long time. It has a nice orange zesty scent. I like that it says "eliminates bacteria and fungus on clothing, shoes, and equipment." I liked it on my work out clothes and it worked fine, but once again did not do much damage to the smell hubbys clothes get from work.  I combined this with the laundry powder and his clothes still smelled. I really liked it for our work out stuff but over all it seems kind of pointless and I would just use the laundry soap for everything. I probably would use this to rub into a stain and then wash it.

Wool Dryer Balls- These are my favorite! You get 3 big wool balls and you place them in the dryer. Thats it! You leave them there and just use them over and over in place of dryer sheets. They last up to 3 years (almost 1,000) loads and are 100% hand felted wool. They soften the laundry without any chemicals and even reduce drying time 15-30%. I use this with every load I do now and love them! No dyes, no perfumes, all natural, and even humanely raised! I highly recommend these. I imagine they save plenty of money on dryer sheets as well.  The ONLY negative thing I have to say is that they can be noisy (my laundry room is right by my master bedroom) so I just can't dry clothing before bedtime or nap time for baby if she is in my room.

(All opinions are my own and I was not compensated in anyway for this review)
